Tasting notes
Tasted blind at Fine & Rare Wines' Clos Vougeot tasting, the 2013 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru from Laurent Roumier has a composed nose with red berry fruit, generous and with mint and undergrowth scents developing in the glass. The palate is fresh on the entry with crisp tannin that lend this Clos Vougeot respectable tension. It is harmonious, if not the most complex wine, with a touch of black pepper on the masculine, slightly austere finish.

Tasted blind. Bright cherry red. Rather edgy nose. Tough and a slight lack of fruit. More frame less fruit. (JR)
