Moderately saturated pale red. Diffuse red fruits, earth and white truffle on the nose. Then spicy, supple and sweet in the mouth; easygoing and rather slight, with round, accessible flavors of strawberry and raspberry dominating. Finishes with sweeter tannins than the Gevrey La Justice. This seems almost ready to bottle.

The 2012 Gevrey Chambertin, which unlike the 2013 does not includes the Les Seuvrees, has a very focused, straitlaced bouquet with Morello cherry and cranberry scents, a touch of sous-bois in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, bright red fruits and impressive precision on the finish. This is a top notch village cru. Jun 2015, www.robertparker.com
