Tasting notes
Good full medium red. Perfumed, high-pitched aromas of red cherry, licorice and rose petal. Not especially fleshy but sweet, precise and fine-grained, with terrific energy to the complex flavors of red cherry, spices, minerals and flowers. This boasts excellent detail and grip. The very fine tannins are buried under cherry and mineral flavor. Very juicy and long. A distinctly noble, perfumed version of Clos Vougeot.

Good deep red. Bracing aromas show noteworthy verve and purity: kirsch, blackberry, minerals and dark chocolate. Concentrated, dense and powerful but with excellent vinosity. Medicinal black cherry, mineral and chocolate flavors are joined by a leathery note on the firmly tannic finish. From a yield of 36 hectoliters per hectare, which Lardiere describes as a full crop.
Cask Sample. Lively and punchy, this wine really is trying! Great vitality and struture. Dense. Good acidity. Punch! Possibly the best Clos Vougeot 2004 I have tasted. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
