Tasting notes
The 1973 Verdelho has more gumption on the nose compared to the 1975, though not the same definition. The palate is rounded and viscous on the entry with notes of over-ripe oranges, marmalade and dried honey. The finish is a little conservative and just fades on the aftertaste that displays a nagging bitter edge. In London, I tasted three bottles from the Madeira Wine Company that were bottled under the Cossart Gordon name.
