Bright full, deep red. Ripe aromas of raspberry liqueur, coffee, mocha and smoky underbrush, with complicating notes of rust, pepper and herbs. Ripe, broad and lush in the mouth, offering an attractive balance of saline minerality and sweet raspberry and strawberry fruit. Finishes sweet and persistent, with fine, horizontal tannins and a light peppery note from the 50% whole-berry fermentation. Excellent potential.
Here the nose is similar to that of the Morey villages but with better complexity. There is good maturity to the delicious, round and lightly mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent detail and notably better vibrancy on the balanced finish. Lovely.
