This is the first wine to display any significant amount of reduction. By contrast there is good tension and freshness to the intensely mineral-driven flavors that also possess excellent delineation on the racy, focused, balanced and beautifully persistent finish. This is very Latricières. Tasted: Jan 15, 2014. Drink: 2024+

The 2012 Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru has an airy, lifted, floral bouquet with rose petals and cold limestone taking precedence over the fruit intensity at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of hardness on the entry. Again, this is a compact, linear grand cru, “correct” but fresh with a touch of spice on the finish. Fine but just a little conservative. Dec 2013, www.robertparker.com
