Score 88/100 · Drink 1993-2005, Robert Parker, Dec 1993
There is no secret to making fine wine - low yields, old vineyards, sanitary cellars, and non-interventionist winemaking do indeed work wonders. Maurice and Claude Dugat produced highly successful 1991s. The gorgeous 1991 Gevrey-Chambertin-Premier Cru offers a remarkably deep, dark ruby/purple color, a sweet, seductive nose of black fruits and flowers, and layers of ripe, supple, voluptuously-textured Pinot Noir fruit and flavors. This satiny-textured, seductive wine should drink well for the next 10-12 years. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC.
