Score 86-89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2005
Good deep red-ruby. Sappy aromas of ripe black cherry, raspberry and spices, with a hint of chocolatey torrefaction. Round and rather oaky, with gentle, succulent red fruit flavors. Wood tannins are apparent on the finish.
