Tasting notes
Good deep red. Reduced aromas of red berries and pepper. Very fresh and spicy, with high-pitched, sharply delineated red berry flavors. As young as this is, it's already quite expressive. Finishes with sweet tannins and lovely lingering fruit.

Rich on the nose. Full and lively. Not nearly as severe as other wines. Rather simple and vaguely lolly on the nose in fact. (JR)
Spicy and wonderfully expressive black and blue berry fruit aromas precede elegant, sweet, suave and notably ripe medium full, well muscled but not robust flavors that offer a supple, even slightly soft mid-palate but like the Boudots, firm up immediately on the sappy and mouth coating finish. There is a dusty quality to the tannins and outstanding finishing intensity. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jan01,2006.
