Healthy dark red. Sexy aromas of black raspberry, minerals, smoked meat and spices. Broad and dense but with bright acids giving the wine lift and spine. Strongly mineral flavors of raspberry, strawberry and orange peel. Finishes very long and bright, with building tannins. Another very structured wine that will repay six to eight years of cellaring.
Dark red-ruby. Perfumed aromas of black raspberry, licorice, minerals and chocolate; pure but subdued. Shows a restrained sweetness in the mouth, with notes of mint and licorice and solid minerality underneath. Gives a soft impression but expands nicely on the back half. The palate-coating tannins are substantial but horizontal and fine.
