Tasting notes
Medium-ruby-colored, and offering delightfully floral and perfumed red cherry scents, this is an excellent and potentially outstanding wine. This medium-to-full-bodied, silky-textured, fresh, and gorgeously ripe wine has candied blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and traces of minerals in its flavor profile. Drink this lovely wine between 1999 and 2004. The village appellation offerings from Vosne and Nuits have the lowest pHs (3.35) of Meo's wines (the rest are between 3.45 and 3.5). Importers: Western US: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel (510) 524-1524; Eastern US: Domaines et Saveurs Collection, Jeanne-Marie de Champs, French Fax: 33-3-80-22-58-25.

Spicy aromas of black cherry, redcurrant and nuts. Suppler and sweeter on entry than the Nuits-Saint-Georges, but more closed in the middle. Strong oak spice flavor today. Finishes with an edge of acidity and slightly dry (wood?) tannins.
