Medium ruby. Pungent, pure aromas of black cherry and minerals. Rich and dry, with good texture and vinosity. Finishes with firm tannins, lively flavors of blueberry and mint, and plenty of acidity.

Great energy and life and rather mild ripe fruit. Extreme restraint here. One can almost hear them stepping backwards from the brink of extreme winemaking. Neat, correct, good lively mouthful. Fine tannins. Not especially dramatic but very rewarding. (JR)
