Tasting notes
Good dark red. Musky dark raspberry, minerals, sandalwood, flowers and woodsmoke on the pungent nose. Silky, dense and suave but also quite penetrating, with strong minerally acidity framing the sappy, incisive flavors. Finishes thick and long, with sexy oak tones. Very aromatic and vibrant for 2003.

(just three barrels produced, compared to a normal nine or ten) Saturated ruby. High-pitched aromas of black fruits, violet and licorice. Wonderfully intense and concentrated, with sharply delineated black fruit and mineral flavors. Impressive building finish features firm, well-distributed tannins and lingering flavors of black fruits, flowers and minerals. This is 14.3% alcohol but I nev er would have guessed it.
