Medium-deep red. Roasted red berries, mocha and game on the nose. Sweet flavors of currant, leather and tobacco. Offers good fruit but finishes firmly tannic and a tad tough, in the style of so many 2001s.

Wonderfully attractive, open fruit flavours. Still very unevolved. Not trying to be big or thick, just very pure. (cask sample) (JR)

Good bright red. Briary, smoky black fruits on the nose. Sweeter and softer than the Chambolle villages but still with sound framing acids. Shows a bit more breadth and length. Finishes with dusty tannins.
