Tasting notes
Deep red. Enticing aromas of minerals, flowers, red licorice and earth. Impressively glyceral on entry, then sweet and silky in the middle, with noteworthy energy and grip. Impressively concentrated and dense wine, with an explosive, rising finish and terrific cut. This should be at its peak between 2010 and 2017, says Grivot.

More elegant and finer than the Brulées though this doesn't have the raw muscle, spicy exuberance or power. As is usually the case, there is an appealing note of minerality on both the nose and the slightly chalky, sappy, very stylish flavors that build in intensity to an astonishingly long finish. This too is blessed with impeccable balance and undeniable class.
Candied black fruits make up the nose of the medium-bodied 2002 Vosne-Romanee Les Beaux Monts. Its joyful, generous character slathers the palate with bing and black cherries. Its sumptuous satiny-textured, medium-bodied, elegant personality is long, precise, and pure.
Bright red-ruby. Redcurrant, minerals and intriguing suggestions of soil on the nose. Creamy, fat and supple, but kept bright and firm by underlying minerality, lively acidity and enticing floral character. Wonderfully perfumed and vibrant, and yet also rather powerful for this cuvee The finish features fine tannins and terrific persistence.
