Good full, deep red, among the darkest of these 2004s. Deep, brooding aromas of cassis, blackberry, minerals, pepper and menthol. Pliant and deep on the palate, with spicy dark berry and black cherry flavors. A bit youthfully medicinal but nicely concentrated. Finishes with dusty tannins and good subtle length. I'd expect a wine like this to harmonize and ripen in the bottle.
