Score 91/100 · Robert Parker, Jan 1990
This is a new offering from the old Clair-Dau estate. The wine is a rich, broadly flavored, amazingly deep, pure wine with power adroitly balanced by elegance. Jadot's 1985s are loaded with aromas and flavors of red fruits, are judiciously complemented by one-third new oak barrels, and have super color, thanks in part to a very high fermentation temperature of 35°-36° C.
