Tasting notes
Tangerine, lime and blueberry aromas. Juicy and smooth on the palate, with a lime sorbet character accented by salty mineral notes. Very pure, clear and bracing, with a genuine Kabinett elegance and delicacy. 1 star.

Aromatically demure, the mineral-scented 2003 Riesling Kabinett Oberhauser Leistenberg offers a light to medium-bodied personality filled with fresh herbs. Satin-textured and deep, it sports a powerful underlying minerality, excellent richness, and a gorgeously long finish. Drink it over the next 10 years. Bravo to Helmut Donnhoff for this magical line-up! Importer: Terry Theise Estate Selections, imported by Michael Skurnik Wines, Inc., Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300
Pure, cool and well defined. Very full and round and creamy. Very easy. Some nuttiness. Neat and crystalline. Edge of lime and chew. (JR)
