Bright ruby-red. Explosive aromas of black raspberry, game and espresso; essence of Gevrey. Suave and silky; thick without being at all heavy. Shows more obvious structure and volume on the back half than Mortet's '98 Gevrey villages . Will be a long-lived village wine.

About the producer

Domaine Denis Mortet
This estate, today with Arnaud Mortet at the helm, makes some of Gevrey-Chambertin’s finest wines. Working with 16 hectares, as well as a few négociant parcels, this property makes perfumed and chiselled Pinot Noir.
