Sweet and intense and jewelly. Lots of impact even if a bit more oak than I would ideally like. Raw finish. (JR)

(from two parcels in the same area, near Les Evocelles) Good bright, full red. Expressive nose offers wild red fruits, hints of smoke and game and a whiff of chocolate. Very ripe and gamey on the palate, with a sweet, smooth texture given shape by nicely integrated acidity. This juicy midweight is showy already. The wild red fruits carry through to the persistent, perfumed finish. Should make a very good village wine.
