Good deep red. Expressive, rather wild aromas of blackberry, smoke, game and mint. Sweet, fat and very ripe; a very rich premier cru with impressive weight and stuffing. Very strong for this cuvee Finishes with fine tannins.

Cask sample. Much more guts than Les Goulots, but still too much acidity for comfort. May get there though. Much more successful than Les Goulots. (JR)
