Tasting notes
Score 84/100 · Robert Parker, Jan 1990

The Chambolle-Musigny is quite elegant, exhibiting plenty of fruit and spice in the nose and, while very good, finishes a little too short to get high marks. Jean-Marie Roumier and Christophe, his son, have one of the most important and respected cellars in Burgundy's Cote d'Or. From their infant days in the cask, the 1986s have had the reputation of being some of the finest 1986s made. I concur.
