Score 89/100 · Daniel Thomases, Vinous
Dark ruby-garnet, with some signs of freshening from a younger vintage. Spicy on the nose, with the new oak a bit too present and penetrating at the moment. Concentrated, intensely flavored and substantial on the palate, with the plum and berry fruit in better balance with the oak. Finishes with noteworthy length. Still somewhat backward but with significant potential.
