Tasting notes
Game, tar, smoke, black cherries and scorched earth are some of the notes that emerge from Collemattoni's 2008 Brunello di Montalcino. A powerful wine, the 2008 is likely to offer its finest drinking relatively early, before the more rustic qualities become even more pronounced.

From 35-hl Slavonian oak. Coopered by Pauscha in Austria. Big hailstorm in mid August. Rich and round and rather hefty. Thick and with lots of tannin. Very dense and difficult to discern elegance in here. Pretty chunky! (JR)
