Tasting notes
Jewel-bright ruby. Pale rim. Just a little musty on the nose and then lots of acidity again – a 2008 thing. A tad austere. I wonder if we just have to wait forever for this? Full marks for effort but less for result. (JR)

Pale red. Complex, smudgy but intriguing nose. Lots of ripe red fruit aroma on the nose and the tannins and acidity are beaten into retreat by that fruit. Lots going on here. Very persistent indeed, and insistent. But definitely dry! Demands respect rather than affection. (JR)
Good bright red. Complex, highly aromatic nose offers redcurrant, tobacco, game, iron, leather and peppery herbs. Sweeter in the middle and more powerful than the Pruliers but with lively spiciness and peppery lift. Finishes ripe and long. A lovely wine, seemingly less austere than the 2009 version.
Very pale and crimson. Some compost on the nose. Then lots of fruit. Spreads across the palate with even a hint of the dreaded coffee! Clean and fresh. (JR)
