Good bright red. Wild, smoky nose combines mocha, nutty oak, praline and game, with a distinctly roasted qualily. Fat, round, spicy and sweet, with plenty of oak spice showing today. A solid but musclebound wine that could use a bit more lift.

Good red. Reduced nose dominated by leather and smoked meat. Fat and sweet, with better stuffing than the foregoing village wines from the Cote de Beaune. Finishes with chewy, ripe tannins, a note of caramel from the oak, and good grip.
