Tasting notes
Superripe aromas of pit fruits and honey, with a suggestion of peach liqueur; a bit like a 2003 but more sappy. Fat, rich, sweet and full; not especially open today but this has excellent stuffing. This seems to be in the process of shutting down.

Loads of spicy minerals can be found in the nose of the 2002 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes. Light to medium-bodied, detailed, and pure, it offers a flavor profile of Chartreuse and stones. It should be drunk over the next 5 years. Importers: Diageo Chateau and Estate Wines Company, New York, NY; tel. (212) 572-7725; Robert Chadderdon Selections, New York, NY; tel. Relatively fine and well-etched. Lively, lemony, and racy. Good liquorice quality and depth. Relatively long. (JR)
