Tasting notes
Good bright, full red. Knockout musky nose offers raspberry, minerals, resin, smoke and underbrush; pure liquid pheromones for this Burgundy lover. Then spicy, surprisingly dry and distinctly adult in style, with superb precision and lift to the gripping raspberry, cherry and truffle flavors. Finishes with outstanding subtle, palate-staining persistence and great sex appeal. (ST) 93+

The 2010 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots is laced with expressive red berries, flowers and mint, all of which come together in a high-toned expression of this site. The Suchots doesn't quite have the minerality or verve of the Beaux Monts, but in exchange it should drink well earlier. Bright floral notes reappear to add lift on the finish.
Bright red. Complex, soil-driven aromas of raspberry, smoky minerals and truffle. Quite penetrating on the palate; as thick as the Beaumonts but less open today, and not showing the same early sweetness or floral character. Began with a bit less lift but showed increasing precision as it opened in the glass. Dense but elegant wine with silky, well-buffered tannins.
