Deep red. Raspberry, spices and musky earth on the nose. Then supple and surprisingly creamy in the mouth, with good minerality extending the finish. This vintage largely sidesteps the normal rusticity of this cuvee and finishes with a late note of cherry syrup. Humbert vinified this wine without pigeage as he considers Fixin normally to be too tannic.
