Tasting notes
Score 84/100 · Drink 1990, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

Ready to drink as full maturity seems very close, the 1979 Branaire has a full-intensity, spicy, cedary, ripe black currant bouquet. On the palate, the wine is soft, supple, with generous silky fruitiness, light to moderate tannins, and good length and weight. A very stylish, round, elegant wine. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 9/90.
