Green highlights in the gold and real vivacity. This wine positively explodes in the mouth with lots of Côte d’Or sap and savour on the nose. This is the business! Round, satin texture. A wonderful classic for early, relatively uncomplicated drinking – it would make a great introduction to white burgundy for someone who had not encountered it. Refreshing green note on the finish but a great buy if you can find it – so long as you think of it as a bargain Puligny rather than compare prices with others’ Bourgogne Blanc. (JR)
A discreet touch of pain grillé frames a nose that also expresses a subtle touch of very ripe exotic fruit as well as floral aromas that merge into rich, full and delicious flavors with unusually good dry extract levels for a regional wine and culminates in a sappy and complex finish. Very solid quality here for what this is. Allen Meadows, Burghound , jul. 2008
