Tasting notes
The 2000 Chambertin Grand Cru impresses for its depth and mid-palate volume in the context of what is often a pleasant but rarely profound vintage. Wafting from the glass with aromas of smoky berries, petals, burning embers, exotic spices and sweet soil tones, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and charming, with a broad attack, sweet structuring tannins and unusual density and persistence.

Full ruby. Knockout nose of cassis, leather, game, flowers, minerals and coffee. Offers great sweetness and tensile strength; a highly concentrated yet subtle wine with a very strong spine. Finishes with remarkable finesse for a wine so powerful, but then it Chambertin. Dugat vinified whole clusters.
