Tasting notes
(tasted from barrel; like the Perrieres and Chevalier-Montrachet, this had not been racked) Sweet, deep nose offers apricot, marzipan and nut oils. Boasts compelling sweetness yet this is quite firm and tightly wound today, with a penetrating character and an impression of strong acidity. Very firmly structured but not especially austere. Mounting, tactile finish impresses with its sweetness.

Pungent, pure nose dominated by pineapple and grapefruit. Very fresh and sharply delineated, with strong but reserved flavors of pineapple liqueur, citrus, minerals and iodine. This is a rather full 14% alcohol without any chaptalization. As with the Chevalier-Montrachet, this wine finished its malo just a couple weeks prior to my visit.
