Tasting notes
The bouquet on the 2010 Flors di Uis is a showstopper. Ground ginger, kiwi and sour lime give way to notes of forest floor, tomato leaf and pears. It’s soft and enveloping with a soothing wave of ripe fruits and minerals, yet it lacks the acidic thrust to take it to the next level. It leaves notes of bitter almond and custard, while tapering off long and rich. The 2010 shows the lower acidity of the vintage.

The estate's flagship 2010 Flor di Uis, a Malvasia/Friulano/Riesling blend, is absolutely striking. White fruit, jasmine, crushed rocks and mint all lift out of the glass in an intensely aromatic, chiseled and vibrant wine loaded with class. The 2010 is a bit less intense than some of the more recent vintages, with the Malvasia and its exotic floral notes especially prominent. I very much like the sense of energy here.
