This is at once more elegant, complex and fresher with its pretty mélange of white peach, pear, acacia blossom and soft oak notes. There is reasonably good delineation to the delicious and lightly mineral-inflected flavors that possess fine volume on the balanced, clean, dry and ever-so-mildly austere finish. This is also notably tighter and more focused than the villages and will require a few more years of cellaring before it is ready for prime time. Tasted: Jun 15, 2014. Drink: 2017+
About the producer

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
