Bright yellow. Perfumed, complex aromas of superripe peach, flowers, ginger and medicinal herbs and spices. Juicy, sweet and intense, with superb depth of fruit. Less voluminous than the Pucelles but this has grand cru finesse and saturates the palate with flavor. Very long and refined on the aftertaste, especially in the context of these high-alcohol 2009s.

Smokily reductive, as you would expect at this stage. Then serious and stern but with good depth of fruit on the palate. Long and strong though the strength is not advertised up front. Really long. (JH) Also tasted by JR on 12 Jan 2010. Score 18. Drink 2012-19: Aromatic, lots of lift and a hint of something floral. Lots of crystalline fruit. Very pure and seductive. Satin texture and everything in place. This could be very rewarding and is already a charmer. Long.

Pale green-yellow color. Cool aromas of lemon, lime and crushed stone complicated by a hint of ginger. Fat, sweet and full, but with lovely citric lift to the flower blossom and ginger flavors. Impressively concentrated, rich wine with lovely retention of citric energy in 2008. From the Chassagne-Montrachet side of the cru.
