Magnum. I'm ashamed to say that this is the very first tasting note on a wine from this Gevrey domaine, although the quality was not so soaringly wonderful as to make me deeply ashamed. Most 2005 grand crus are still impenetrable but this was minty, sweet, easy, juicy and ever so slightly syrupy. They have great vineyard holdings. One of these days I'm sure they will make great wines. (JR)

A completely different expression with its elegant red fruits that display only a trace of earth and no torrefaction followed by direct, linear flavors and dusty tannins. I like the purity and detail here but this needs more sève and overall flavor authority to be at the next level.
