Tasting notes
Cheval Blanc and Yquem's famed winemaker, Pierre Lurton, fashions this wine at his home estate. It is a delicious, up-front, fruity, silky-textured, medium-bodied Bordeaux possessing plenty of red and black currant fruit as well as notions of wood spice and earth. Consume it over the next 3-4 years. Good value.

Deep crimson/purple. Sweet black cherries and rather tired fruit. Then lots of acidity. Not married. The overall impression is of green, underripe fruit that has been worked heavily in the cellar. Smooth, certainly…. And when I saw what it was, I realised this was the product of M Cashmere Tannins [Pierre Lurton of Ch Cheval Blanc]! (JR)
