Tasting notes
A little cloudy but intense ruby red. Exotic ripe red fruit explodes on the nose. Intense. Concentrated fruit for a 2007. A little severe. Doesn't yet seem to be ready. Appetising dry finish. A substantial mouthful. (JR)

Medium red. Sexy, expressive aromas of raspberry, game, mocha and chocolate; lower-toned than the 2008. Then creamy-rich and moderately sweet in the mouth, with a fine grain to the red and black fruit flavors. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and very good length.
Medium red. Musky red fruits, chocolate and smoke on the rather reduced nose. Fat and sweet but not yet pristine; showing very good volume and breadth without any undue weight. The tannins here are firmer than those of the Chaumes.
A densely fruited spicy black fruit nose offers up notes of warm earth, underbrush, wood toast and a hint of exotic tea that is also reflected by the rich, full and mouth coating flavors blessed with plenty of dry extract that buffers the tannins and stains the palate. There is impressive volume here as well as ample power. There is another dimension of depth here. Allen Meadows, Burghound Jan01,2009
