Score 94/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2025

Rocking levels of crème de cassis, redcurrants, spicy wood, dried flowers, and sweet tobacco all emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon S.L.V., a medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish. Aged 20 months in 100% new French oak, it's another remarkably fresh 2022 from this estate that has tons to love. I think it brings a touch more mid-palate density and depth compared to the Fay release and should put a smile on your face any time over the coming 10-15 years. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon S.L.V. shows the riper side of the year in its slightly roasted, cooked profile. Brown spice, leather, tobacco and incense add to an impression of a wine that is a touch forward. I would prefer to drink this over the next handful of years.

Toasted caramel and blackcurrants on the nose. Some ripe cherry aromas too. Juicy, this has concentration but is well presented, almost delicately with quite a straightforward and direct expression rather than being overly fleshy or wide. Well made, with precision - fruit purity alongside quite a spiced liquorice finish. Interesting, feels very hands off. 3.89pH. Ageing 20 months, 100% new oak. Owners the Antinori family with winemaker Marcus Notaro.

Deep, concentrated, intense, classically great Napa where you feel the potential for ageing without any need to wait if you want to enjoy young. Pristine black fruits build in power through the palate, this has juice and depth, with cloves, baking spices and crushed mint leaf. Antinori family in Napa, Marcus Notaro winemaker. Second year on the Bordeaux system.
