The 2023 Volnay Village, which is actually 80% Premier Cru, has a ripe red cherry- and wild strawberry-scented bouquet that is very pure and charming. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannins and darker fruit than the 2022. It's a bit Pommard-like in terms of structure on the finish. Fine.
