The 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté has a well-defined bouquet of green apple peel and a touch of sea spray. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and a dab of sour lemon, nicely proportioned and easygoing on the finish. This is not the greatest Aligoté in the world, but there's nothing wrong with it. Tasted at merchants' 2022 Burgundy tastings in London.
Fragrant with herbs and wild grasses. A touch of fresh pears. Bone-dry, light-bodied but long thanks to the fine friction in the texture. Long herbal finish. (JH)
