Tasting notes
Plenty of concentration on the palate, but there is also plenty of lift and elegance. Stone fruit characters allied to citrus acidity and some forceful mineral notes on the finish add to the freshness. Very impressive example of Grenouilles with a great future ahead. Buy a case and keep for at least five years. Tank sample.

Complex notes of dried lemons, waxed apples, fennel, wet stones and seashells follow through to a medium-bodied, mineral and savory palate. Lots of texture and focus. Drink or hold.
The 2022 Chablis Grenouilles Grand Cru has a neutral, stony bouquet that needs a little more personality to come through. The palate is neutral in style, balanced, yet missing mineralité and complexity, especially on its somewhat predictable finish. So-so. The Bougros and Blanchot offer more this year. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
