Tasting notes
A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Thieuley shows an elegant, more complex bouquet than its 2018 counterpart, exhibiting aromas of dark berries, pencil lead, licorice and menthol, followed by a medium to full-bodied, juicy and enveloping palate that’s framed by powdery tannins. Seamless and already nicely integrated, this vintage can be approached with pleasure, even if has four or five year of evolution ahead of it.

Smells like wild peaches, really floral and perfumed, parma violets, you might say there's Viognier in it from the nose. The palate is weighty, you get a more dense texture than some of the others, it really makes an impression, fully flavoured with the same perfumed aspects from the nose. Oak gives structure, this is full, with less obvious acidity and more textural elements alongside the richly scented citrus fruits, peach flesh and pear skin. Very good quality.
