2020 Tenuta Rocca Barolo DOCG

A concentrated medium red brick in color, the 2020 Barolo needs a little coaxing on opening before revealing notes of dried cherries, cocoa, dried licorice, and tea leaf. Medium-bodied, it’s approachable, with fine tannins, a sanguine mineral touch, an even feel, and notes of tea leaf. It’s probably not the longest-lived Barolo, but it has a lot of savory and classic appeal. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
