Tasting notes
The 2025 Teyssier, which undergoes 20% malo in barrel, has a light nose with black plum, raspberry coulis and mocha. The palate is medium-bodied, with crunchy tannins, fine acidity and a little brittleness, turning chalky towards the soy-tinged finish.

A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc from clay and limestone soils, the 2025 Château Teyssier (Famille Durand-Teyssier) is charming stuff, with ripe cherry and framboise fruits as well as some spicy, floral nuances. It's balanced and medium-bodied on the palate, with soft tannins and a great finish.
The 2025 Teyssier is a fine introduction to the Maltus wines. This is an especially floral edition of Teyssier. Crushed flowers, red-toned fruit, blood orange, white pepper and spice are very nicely lifted. This was just blended a few days prior to this tasting, and yet it shows quite well.
