Tasting notes
A beautiful, ripe, yet fresh effort, the 2025 Le Petit Ducru-Beaucaillou has a focused, almost crunchy style with black cherries, graphite, cassis, and lead pencil nuances on the nose. Based on 83% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Petit Verdot that's still resting in 30% new barrels, it's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a round, layered, nicely balanced profile.

The 2025 Le Petit Ducru offers gorgeous up-front fruit and terrific energy to play off the natural richness of the year. Dark red cherry/plum fruit, mocha, new leather, licorice and dried herbs all run through this Merlot-driven Saint-Julien. Medium in body and quite svelte, the Petit Ducru is an absolute delight.
