The 2025 Le Bon Pasteur has a charming nose with pure, quite floral black cherry and blueberry fruit, perhaps more understated than I was expecting. The palate is quite tannic on the entry, with a keen line of acidity, structured and quite peppery towards the finish, which coats the mouth. Just a bit austere at the moment, hopefully this will flesh out during barrel maturation, though it needs to find its fifth gear.

A Merlot-dominant blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that will spend 15 months in 50% new barrels and amphora, the 2025 Château Le Bon Pasteur offers cassis, exotic cherries, baking spices, and dried flowers on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered, graceful mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. Hitting 14% alcohol, it's beautifully balanced, textured, and graceful, with an already complex, undeniably delicious, sexy style that's impossible to resist. It's one of the top vintages for this château.

Perfumed already, with a velvety and chewy palate of dark berries and dark chocolate and a medium-bodied finish. Muscular for the vintage in Pomerol.

The 2025 Le Bon Pasteur is fabulous. In fact, the 2025 is one of the best editions of this wine I have tasted. Ample and rich, but not at all heavy, Le Bon Pasteur impresses with its total sense of harmony. A burst of red/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, mocha and blood orange are all fused together. The purity of the fruit is remarkable. The 2025 is an especially fine Bon Pasteur. Tasted two times.
