Tasting notes
Black cherries, smoke, espresso, flowers, cocoa, and a touch of citrus create the aromatic profile. The palate is sweet, polished, fresh, and juicy. The fruits are ripe, round, and vibrant from start to finish. The wine is produced from 100% Merlot.

Ripe red and black fruits, spice, and savory herb notes all define the 2025 Château La Croix Saint Georges, a 100% Merlot barrel sample from Pomerol. It's medium-bodied on the palate, nicely balanced, and has the straight, focused style of the vintage. It's well-made and has outstanding potential.
The 2025 La Croix St. Georges very sexy wine. Dark red-toned fruit, cedar, tobacco, new leather, blood orange, spice and pomegranate. Supple contours and lifted, pretty aromatics add to a feeling of understated finesse. The juicy, open-knit style is quite attractive. Tasted two times.
Ripe, perfumed aromatics. Clearly ripe grapes. But actually less plush and fleshy on the palate than I was expecting, still quite dark and toasted with some clove, dark chocolate, liquorice and cedar but with cool, refreshing acidity. Grippy, intense, concentrated but this will soften.
