Score 92-94/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, May 2026

A Cabernet-dominant blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot from sandy and clay-gravel soils, the 2025 Château Couhins sports a deep ruby/plum hue as well as beautiful cassis and plum fruits, classic Pessac-Léognan scorched earth, graphite, and sappy, leafy herbs on the nose. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a concentrated, focused, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length.

Citrusy and delicious, with tension, precision and drive. It’s medium-bodied with crisp acidity. Salty and energetic with a long finish.

The 2025 Couhins Blanc is a total stunner. Lemon confit, white flowers, chalk, slate and mint all race across the palate. It offers an absolutely dazzling interplay of textural richness and energy. Superb.
